PROJECT OVERVIEW

IDES Electrical Services were appointed to deliver the complete electrical installation for the new Maki & Ramen restaurant in Leeds city centre. Working alongside SIM Fit-Out, our team provided a comprehensive electrical package to support the creation of the brand’s distinctive dining environment and ensure the venue was ready for opening within a demanding programme.

THE CHALLENGE

The project involved the delivery of a complete electrical installation within a busy city centre location, requiring careful planning and coordination with multiple trades throughout the fit-out programme. In addition to the core electrical infrastructure, the installation needed to support a range of bespoke lighting features that form a key part of the Maki & Ramen customer experience and brand identity.

With a fixed opening date, all electrical works needed to be completed, tested and commissioned within the ten-week programme to allow the restaurant to commence trading as scheduled.

OUR SOLUTION

IDES delivered a turnkey electrical installation, managing the project from initial site assessment through to final testing and commissioning. The works included electrical distribution, power, LED lighting, emergency lighting, equipment connections and a new fire alarm system throughout the restaurant.

A key feature of the project was the installation of decorative lighting elements, including Maki & Ramen’s signature Sakura feature lighting and bespoke neon signage, helping to create the vibrant and immersive dining environment associated with the brand.

Working closely with SIM Fit-Out and the wider project team, all electrical services were successfully delivered in line with programme requirements and the client’s design vision.
