PROJECT OVERVIEW

IDES Electrical Services were appointed to deliver the complete electrical installation package for Maki & Ramen’s new restaurant on York Street, Manchester. Working alongside SIM Fit-Out, IDES provided a comprehensive electrical solution to support the creation of another distinctive restaurant within the growing Maki & Ramen portfolio.

The project involved the delivery of a full electrical fit-out for the new restaurant, incorporating power, lighting, fire alarm systems and specialist feature lighting installations designed to complement the brand’s unique identity.

THE CHALLENGE

The project required the delivery of a complete electrical installation within a busy Manchester city-centre location, requiring careful coordination with multiple trades to maintain programme milestones and achieve the planned opening date.

As with other Maki & Ramen locations, the electrical installation needed to support a range of decorative and feature lighting elements while also providing the robust infrastructure required for a busy restaurant environment. The combination of customer-facing feature installations and essential building services required careful planning throughout the project.

OUR SOLUTION

IDES delivered a complete electrical package, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems and equipment supplies throughout the restaurant.

A key feature of the project was the installation of Maki & Ramen’s signature decorative lighting scheme, including the brand’s iconic Sakura feature and bespoke neon signage. Additional feature lighting was installed throughout the restaurant to help create the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere associated with the Maki & Ramen brand.

Working closely with SIM Fit-Out and other trades on site, IDES successfully coordinated the electrical installation to support both the aesthetic and operational requirements of the new restaurant.
